This run we start to really lean into the personal management of hydration and nutrition. We could be out there 3 to 3.5 hours so its important to bring enough fluids and food to get through it without bonking. 500ml flask and 1 gel/bar would be the minimum Id bring on this trail but why not start to get used to a pack with 2x500ml flasks, a few gels/bars, and a snake bandage. Theres 3 legit hiking hills on this too so poles could be brought if you're looking to get some practise with them in - that wouldn't be for tarawera though.
No taps! No reliable streams! You'll need to bring your own fluids. Not a super fast loop so plenty of regroups possible at the top of the hills.
